After a long break from blogging...

We are back!

We are going to fast forward to February...skipping the

Christmas pictures I neglected to post. Winter finally decided to arrive this past weekend. Grandma and grandpa Gervais came to help us paint the nursery and get it ready for Miss Wilson's arrival (April 15th).

We had perfect snow come down for Beckham to play in. This was actually his first real time playing in the snow with snow pants on.

Let's just say he LoVeD it!

We built this cute snowmen on our back patio. We borrowed dad's cyclone hat and grabbed wine corks for the eyes and mouth. We were just missing the branches for his arms as there are not any big trees in our housing development.

This little guy had a blast building a snowmen.

He woke up the next morning begging to go build another

snowmen.

We also chased each other in the snow...

and of course, helped daddy with shoveling.

The shoveling part made grandma b nervous. I think she was nervous i was going to put myself into labor.

We played out in the snow for well over an hour and lets just say it was a fight to get him to come inside. I had to

bribe him with hot chocolate. Nothing like having a warm

cup of hot chocolate after playing out in the snow. Grandma also had made homemade chicken noodle soup for us to enjoy after the boys got back from doing to BRR ride.

Yes, you read right...

Rob and grandpa rode 22 miles in a snowstorm. They pretty much couldn't see the entire ride as they had huge snowflakes flying in their eyes. Crazy men! We got a lot accomplished over the weekend, making me feel more ready for baby w's arrival. I am 31 weeks pregnant and starting to feel and look BiG! I hope to post pictures of the nursery very soon!

Christmas decor/house tour...

We put up our tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving. We had a good time decorating while listening to Christmas music in the background. My little helper liked to put up ornaments, only breaking a few.

I love the smell of fresh trees, but every year I regret putting it up so early as it looks sad and dead when Christmas comes around.

Cheese! This did take much bribing with starburst and thomas.

Warning: lots of house pictures from here on down. Above pictures is obviously a kitchen shot. We love having a big kitchen to cook in and especially love the island giving us more prep room.

Thanks to pinterest, I decided to do this with our Christmas cards we get in the mail. I love getting mail this time of year and know how much time people put into family cards. I have always displayed them in some way, but thought this was a cute idea.

This was another pinterest idea...tree tips in wine corks.

Easy and cute!

This is one of my favorite parts to the house...I know...sad. I love the locker room right off the garage. I love that the coats

no longer hang on the back of table chairs. On the other side of the room is our laundry.

Here is a shot of our living room. We still need window treatments in this room. We aren't quite sure what to do with these 3 large windows. We have yet to hang anything on the walls, but am looking for some new art work.

Our first tree in our yard. We decided we needed to buy one tree before we had snow on the ground. We bought a crab apple tree for the front yard. We are anxious for spring to get here so we can start doing some landscaping in the backyard.

Beckham had his first Christmas concert at daycare last Thursday.

The auditorium was packed and it was really hard to take any pictures.

They sang 4 songs and did a really good job. It was so cute to see him interact with his friends. We look forward to seeing many more concerts in the coming years. With Christmas just 6 days away, we still have lots to do. We are about half done with our shopping and I have yet to do any baking. This week will be busy finishing up shopping, wrapping gifts, and baking. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

Tis' the season...

Last weekend we celebrated thanksgiving and your 3rd birthday party. Since we missed thanksgiving at great grandma Millie's, she saved a few ginger turkey's for you. If you remember from last year, that's all you ate...tons of cookies.You were spoiled with many gifts from grandparents. This was the first time you actually understood the concept of unwrapping gifts. You received many thomas gifts, including tidmouth sheds.

You have been wanting this part for your wooden trains for a long time!

We also went to pick out our "kissmas tree". You were so excited to

do so. We also picked up these small trees for our front doors. You

were adamant that we bring them in the house. Once we brought them in the house, you immediately started building your tracks around the trees. It was pretty cute!

We enjoyed our time with family at our new house. For once, we

actually had room for everyone! Our house is decorated for Christmas

as it is fast approaching. Now its time we start doing some shopping...yikes! Have a good weekend, the wilson's

Let the birthday celebrations begin... {p.s. sorry that the pictures are gigantic}

Three years ago, at 8:30pm you arrived into this world. You have brought so much excitement into our life. You are like a little sponge these days and repeat everything we say. You are talking in sentences and LoVe singing songs. You have turned into one picky eater in which we hope is just a phase. We are pretty convinced you could eat Cherrios for all meals, 7 days a week. You are still obsessed with Thomas. We build tracks, read thomas books, watch thomas videos, and talk about thomas non-stop.

Friday, daddy took the day off, so we celebrated your birthday for a bit. We took you to Barnes and Noble. You love that store because they have a thomas table with lots of trains. We let you pick out a new train for your birthday. You picked thomas with the battery operated jet engine.

We then went and had lunch at your favorite, Chick-fil-A. You ate your chicken and french fries next to your new thomas and jet engine. We will have a few small parties to celebrate next weekend while family is in town for thanksgiving. Happy 3rd birthday little guy...we love you!

Our new home! October was a whirlwind, and November is half over. We are mostly settled minus an empty room or two. The decorating phase really hasn't started and I am debating on just waiting until the holidays to start. I will post pictures of the rest of the house soon!

We got to spend Halloween at our new house! For the 2nd year in a row, we couldn't get Beckham to wear his costume... I was a little bummed. Seeing all of the cute pictures of all the kids on facebook made me really wish he would have cooperated. Let's hope next year will be a success. Instead of costumes, we decorated pumpkins. Well, I shouldn't say "we"...it was all me. I spent 3 hours carving big bird and elmo. Those were B's picks for this year. I have to admit, they turned out pretty cute! Beckham really had no interest in carving...and NO interest in scooping the seeds out.

I have neglected to take any pictures lately, but did take a few last week as I was unpacking the coat closet. He loves to hang out in boxes. He gathers his "b" (blanket), pillow, and of course a little entertainment-

the ipad. I'm convinced he could hang out in boxes for much of the day if we let him.

Let's just say he was pretty bummed when I tore this box down. Baby w is going on 18 weeks and we find out the sex the Monday after Thanksgiving! Tonight, we asked Beckham where the baby was, and he lifted his shirt up and pointed to his belly.

Yes...you read it right! This little guy is going to be a big brother in April! A lot has gone on since the last post...

We have been busy snapping pictures in front of pumpkins to make the card above. We attempted to first take pictures at the pumpkin patch, but were unsuccessful. You weren't very photogenic and happy that day. You were coming down with a cold and didn't feel the best. So when the pumpkin patch fails, why just take a trip to Earl May. "happy Thomas"...and you get cheesy smiles!

Thanks to grandma b for creating the cute card we were able to send friends and family. We also added our new address that has been deleted from the bottom of this card. Yes...you read right, we have a new address. We have MoVeD!

With a big thanks to our parents, we closed and moved into our

new house on Friday. We still have lots of unpacking to do, but we are so excited just to have space again! We are staying busy every night unpacking, watering sod, and shopping online for furniture and window treatments.

Beckham has been a trooper through all of the moving! He has adjusted to the new house and loves running around in our yard while daddy waters the sod. He is sort of in heaven...there are "kakkas" (tractors) everywhere. They will be building new houses around us for quite awhile bringing constant entertainment for this little guy! Pictures of the new house to come soon! I still have some work to do before i am able to take pictures! So i best get back to work! Happy hump day!

Daddy left again on Sunday for London. He has been a busy traveler lately for work and we miss him lots.

I think you were wanting to go with him on this trip...you fit just perfectly in the suitcase. With this being the 2nd trip overseas in the month of October,we are getting along pretty well. I only work 8 hour shifts so that I am able to take you to daycare and pick you up. Still to this day I have a hard time dropping you off. I know you are in good hands with JoLynn and have lots of fun, but you just can't put the tears away for momma when i drop you off. Daddy gets home on Sunday night and we will be anxious to see him again. I'm sure you are looking forward to your wrestling matches and flying game you 2 do... we love you daddy!

center grove orchard...

This past weekend we went to the apple orchard. We couldn't have picked a better day to go as far as the weather goes.

You enjoyed riding tractors again this year...

I'm thinking next year you will be big enough to reach the peddles. That's probably the reason the sign says for ages 4 and up. You are still just a little short for them.

After the tractors we went over to see the animals. The goats were a bit close to you and scared you...lots of tears. You had NO interest in feeding them so dad had to.

You LOVED the big slide. You went down with me, dad, and grandma j several times.

You tried to mow a little bit, but the sucker was heavy... unsuccessful.

Your favorite part of the orchard was the giant jumping pillow.

Dad jumped around with you like a kid and you giggled...

and giggled! Dad would jump pretty hard and make you go flying! Pretty entertaining to watch you two... We bought lots of goodies at the shop including delicious honeycrisp apples, an apple slushy, and apple spice doughnuts.

henry doorly zoo 2011...

Last weekend we enjoyed a little time away from home at the henry

doorly zoo in Omaha. Grandma and grandpa g met up with us Friday

morning. The weather was beautiful and we were arrived when the

gates opened so we avoided the crowds.

We spent 5 hours there and probably didn't get to see everything. The

zoo is enormous! Beckham had a great time, but it did take about a

half hour to warm up to the animals.

We started off near the giraffe's where you were a little unsure.

They were quite close with a fence separating, but you still were

nervous.

It took a little of daddy's smooth talking to convince you that everything

was ok. We were able to watch them have breakfast...eating anything in

site...grass, leaves, tree bark, etc.

Of course we had to feed the "fishees" at the zoo.

We spent several quarters on the bridge...watching you throw

food down to the fish. These fish looked like they were fed well as

they are HUGE!

Another favorite for you was the "waterfalls".

You love water and any waterfalls we encounter.

Oh "hi" zebra...

It took some major bribing to get you to leave the water area.

We enjoyed all the animals...

including this cool guy in the desert! He poses so well.

We had a great time and were glad to have grandma and grandpa

join us. We stayed over night in a hotel and got to do a little

swimming too! It was a short little getaway, but well worth it! We

will definitely go back again!

state fair 2011

The weather was perfect the week of the state fair. Usually its 100

degrees and higher the 10 days of the fair. We enjoyed a beautiful

Saturday evening spending time with the animals and admiring all

of the "ka kas" (tractors).

The "duckees" were a hit...

along with the all of the different looking "ka koos"

We were kind of in love with this little guys hair-do.

We then went in the barn with all of the baby animals.

You loved the baby chicks...

and you were a little scared of the bigger animals (cows and pigs).

We spent close to an hour sitting on all the different tractors.

After the animals and tractors it was then time to take in the fair food!

Although we didn't go crazy this year, we of course had to share a

glass of fresh squeezed lemonade.

You liked...

enjoying our summer days...

The last few weeks we have taken several trips to the park. We

used to be able to just walk down the park, but now that we are in the

rental the Burley has come in handy. When we first bought the Burley

this spring i thought to myself...this will probably just sit in the garage

and collect dust much like my bike has the last several years.

I have proven myself wrong...we love our Burley bike rides!

You beg and beg

and beg

to go on "bike rides and go sweening"

Its about a 5-10 minute bike ride to the closest park with a swing,

but is well worth it. The problem is you nEvEr want to get off the

swing. You could swing for hours. It usually takes a little bribing

to get you off!

You are still obsessed with Thomas and have quite the collection

of tracks set up in our living room. This morning you were admiring

the catalog and picking out which track you want next. Tidmouth

shed is next on your list...you told me about it all morning. At one

point you went and got your shoes on thinking we were just going

to run out and buy it...silly boy.

Yesterday at school, you had to say good-bye to one of your teachers,

Adriana.

She always told daddy every time he picked you up about how good of a

boy you were and how much she enjoyed taking care of you. She told

us that you and Harper are good friends and spend a lot of time playing

together. She said you nap next to each other and you always wake up before

her and just stare at her until she wakes. When we ask you about her at

home the only thing you say is, "harpa gone home". Harper does go home

before you and you must say that everyday at school...how cute!

Well its state fair time here in Iowa so we are hoping to head to

the fair in the coming days. Hopefully we will get some good

pictures to post!

birthday party, duckies, and fishies...

Last weekend we went to Charlie's 3rd birthday party. It was 115

degree heat index and most of the party was outside and involved

water...thankfully. You loved playing with all of the kids, but chickened

out on the water slide. You had more fun watching the other kids do it.

You loved the water table, pool, and of course the swing set. Cheese Beckham... well at least Jenna participated.

You gobbled up your pizza and even saved a bit of room for the

cake. You made friends with "odid eeya" (Olivia) and when it was

time to leave you waved and said, "good bye odid eeya". So cute!

I am now able to bribe you to the mall with the ducks and fishies.

You love feeding them bread.

You are just amazed by all of the fish they have in this pond.

We now never throw bread away at the house...

we are always saving up for the next trip to the mall to

go "see the ducks and fishees"

Puzzles, trains, and moving...

Its has been a little crazy at the Wilson house the past few weeks.

We moved last weekend into our rental home. A big thanks to our

parents for all the help! We are living a simple life here at the rental.

Nothing on the walls and most of our belongings remain in boxes in

the garage. Our day and nights now consist of puzzles, swimming,

play-doh, thomas, and drives out to the house to see the progress.

We drove out to the house today and took some pictures. We

have walls on the main floor! It was fun to visualize where everything

will be. Beckham loves seeing all the tractors! We have driven out

so many times that every time we turn the car around to come

home he says, "all done".

This is what our floor looks like currently.

Lets just say I can't wait to have a "playroom" for all of these toys!

We are now living in a town home just a block away from our old

house, which made for an easy transition. Beckham adjusted well

to the new house and still remains in his crib until he discovers how

to get out if it.

So our life the next couple of months will be driving out to the house and seeing progress!

We enjoyed this beautiful summer day poolside. You love anything

that has to do with water. Splash park, waterfalls, pool time, baths,

watching "fishees in da wadda", or just playing in the sink in the

kitchen.

Now that summer is officially here we spend most of our time

outdoors. You love being outside playing in the water, playing

with chalk, riding your bike, or going to the park to go swinging.

You beg to go swinging every time we get in the car. We are also

driving out to the new house a couple times a week to watch our

new house go up. So far its a hole with the beginnings of the basement.

We are starting to pack up the house and plan on moving the next

2 weekends. Sheesh...we have accumulated a lot of stuff in the last

6 years. We will be moving into a rental town home just a couple blocks

away until the new house is done. We are hopingto by November!

So we are busy here at the Wilson house this summer!

let summer begin...

Today was a zoo day with mommy's work friends and their kids.

We got to play in "wadda", which felt nice on this 90 degree day.

We got to go on a train ride...sorta like Thomas.

I must admit, i was kinda scared when the train first started going.

After a few minutes i really enjoyed myself...watching all of the

animals. It was really fun neighing at the camels. Mom had to

explain to me that they weren't horses...they are kind of like horses, but

with a big hump in the middle of their back :)

I heart "fishees".

I even saw nemo in one of the fish tanks.

Sorry mom didn't take many pictures as it was too hot! Next

time we will pick a cooler day to go and take our time!

We enjoyed our time with momma's co-workers and will

have to meet again!

I really liked the splash park last summer, but this summer

I love it!

Now that I am a year older, I seem to be much braver!

I enjoy running as fast as I can threw the water and splashing

everyone!

I really like the above fountain as the water goes away for

a while and then comes shooting back up!

The last few days have been 100 plus degrees...

and being in the water is a must.

I vote water over zoo on these hot days ;)

We are going to Minneapolis this weekend! I get to see

uncle Matthew and Megan...

and grandma and grandpa! We are going to take in a couple of Twins

games...hoping for 2 victories!

it's been a while...

since the last posting, but we have been quite busy. Life has

been a little bit hectic the last few weeks.

So let's back up to Mother's day weekend. Mom had to work

Sunday evening, so we decided to go to big creek and have a

picnic and play at the park/beach. It was a little breezy that

day, but I had a blast playing in the sand with another girls

beach toys. I wasn't afraid to help myself to all of her toys.

I can't wait to go back soon. Of course, I had to write momma a card as seen above. I also went shopping and bought her some much needed work out clothes and an hour massage. Along with this towel I made at daycare. Its my hand print!

The next week dadda left for the Netherlands for a full week.

Both grandma's helped take care of me during this time...thanks

grandma's for all your help!

The weather was perfect so we decided to go feed the "ducks

on da wadda". We brought old bread and within minutes we

were surrounded by lots of ducks.

I had a hard time leaving the ducks...i had so much fun throwing

bread at them. I begged mom and grandma to go back the next

several days to "see the ducks on da wadda".

I have also been busy helping with momma with laundry. Do you

notice the nice scab on my elbow? I have been quite clumsy while

running around outside these days.

I have also been busy playing Dr Wilson.

I hope someday to be just like momma and wear one of these.

I had fun listening to my tummy rumble!

Oh and how could i forget...we SOLD our house. We have also

been busy signing paper work, home inspections, and picking out

our new home. We are building and hope to be in around my

birthday (November).

pella tulip days...

Grandma and grandpa came to town last weekend for the first

farmers market and the Pella tulip festival. We couldn't have asked

for better weather...sun and 80 degree weather! Thanks to

grandma b for taking these great pictures.

The tulips were beautiful... all of the colors and all were open so perfectly for the weekend. I didn't even know there was so many different types of tulips and colors.

We then came across the water fountain. Beckham loved, loved, loved

this part of the day. It was just starting to get a little warm and a

little dip in the fountain felt awesome!

We went through grandma's purse and threw all of her penny's in

the fountain making many wishes.

We probably played in the fountain for 30 minutes playing, splashing,

and making wishes.

Hopefully all those wishes come true!

For lunch we decided to order pizza and have a little picnic.

Beckham spotted this little puppy near by and went over to get

kisses. These pictures capture the moment so well.

Tulips, dutch letters, sunshine, water fountains, puppy love,

and family time ='s one great day!

underwear...round 1

After a bath last week, you started throwing a fit while I was trying

to put on your diaper. You were also trying to tell me something in

which I had no idea what you were saying. I thought to myself...maybe

he's telling me he wants underwear on instead? Maybe he's ready to be

a big boy and wear big boy underwear?

So we went to the dresser and I showed you the Thomas underwear. You gave me a little giggle and wanted to put them on right away. You are going through a HuGe independence stage right now, so of course you wanted to try and put them on yOuRsElF. So I let you. After the first pair were on apparently you thought the 2nd pair were going to be used as a shirt? You were SO proud of yourself in your big boy pants.

You smiled and posed for the camera so nicely...which is a rare

occurrence anymore.

I of course had to show your cute little butt off!

Well the underwear didn't last long. After playing for 10 minutes in your

room you were ready to go downstairs. I was a little nervous about the whole

underwear thing and when we got down to the bottom of the stairs I asked you

if you had to go potty? At that moment you did...pee started rolling down the leg

and on to my carpet :(

Well we gave it a try and you aren't quite ready.

hard boiled or blown out eggs? We are so thankful that we opted for the hard boiled option.

This was our first year dying Easter eggs. We weren't sure how it was going

to go over, but he loved it. The first egg he picked up to dye he

dropped from about a foot up in the air and splashed dye everywhere.

That was when we decided it was time to take the clothes off and clear

the area. I'm pretty sure he thought they were balls we were dying.

They went from pretty to ugly... and what a mess we had by the end. He enjoyed mixing colors up... and admiring them. We of course had to place them on the tray when we were finished. Aren't they pretty?

We had dye everywhere by the end...

hands, under the nails, chest, belly, and legs.

Next was the Easter egg hunt.

The Easter bunny came while he was down for his nap.

He did well finding all eggs.

Maybe next year the bunny will have to try and hide them harder.

We also made fun Easter cookies while b was napping.

They turned out really cute and Beckham of coursed loved them!

thomas and baking 101...

thomas... and more thomas. (Thanks grandma j for the new thomas legos) I'm wondering if there is any other thomas toys out there on the market that we are missing ;) Instead of playing thomas...i decided it was time to introduce baking. Since Easter is on Sunday we decided to try a new cookie using mini robin eggs.

I enjoyed standing back...

and capturing the moment. Our first time baking together. You were so serious...

weekend getaway...

Last weekend we went to grandma and grandpa Wilson's for a quick visit.

Since the weather was beautiful we decided to take a small road trip to Moline, Illinois to visit the John Deere museum.

As you recall Beckham loves "ka kas" (tractors).

The combine was a favorite.

I was thinking we wouldn't make it out of the store without buying this tractor.

I'm sure I would have caved and bought it if the price tag wouldn't have read $90.

The store had lots of tractors of all sizes and the tractor table was obviously the big hit!

We must get out and enjoy the weather this morning... happy hump day!

just waiting for more warm weather...

Tuesday night its tornado sirens...

and today its 30+ degrees and snowing.

The grass here is turning green and we are dreaming of warmer weather, birds chirping, tulips blossoming, and outside play time!

Since the weather this week has left us inside we have enjoyed puzzles, Thomas, and some Thomas YouTube videos. Its still pretty much all about Thomas.

Here is the newest Thomas...it is automatic AND it comes with a controller. It goes forward and backwards and sings the Thomas songs and makes many more train noises. (Probably one of the most annoying toys i have ever bought, but he loves it!)

We are also in phase of everything going through the legs!

Another obsession of lately has been building "BIG houses" with big Lego's. He likes to watch us build and then minutes later he destroys. We do this just about everyday.

What good times we are having watching this little guy grow up into such a "boy".

just can't get enough popcorn...

Although you can't tell from the smiles in these pictures, my little B has been under the weather this week. He came down with a cough over the weekend that progressed into a fever for 3 days.

This illness brought no appetite and on Monday the only thing he wanted to eat was "popco". I was going to make him anything that sounded good to him as long as he would just eat. He loves to sit on the cupboard and watch the popcorn pop..."pop, pop, pop"

The fever finally broke tonight and he is acting like Beckham again. He is running laps around the table, smiling, and giggling again. After not eating much yesterday or today, he wanted "popco" for supper. So he got it, another batch of popcorn made.

We are so thankful for popcorn...

The weather last week was a tease...

but we enjoyed every minute of it while it lasted. We took Beckham out for a stroll in our new wagon grandma j got us. He loved it! He was so mad when we told him it was time to go inside. It sounds like this week will not be as nice with rain and snow in the forecast :(

passed with flying colors...

We had a follow-up appointment with ENT doctor and everything looks great! The tubes were wide open, no fluid in either ears, and he passed the hearing test. These are all tests that were failed pre-tube days. We are so thankful for those little tubes...they have made the biggest difference.

A rain boot kind of day...

Well its hard to imagine that on Friday we went out for a walk and enjoyed the 40 degree weather. The sun was shining, the snow was melting and there were puddles of water making it necessary to break out our new Thomas boots. Today we sit here stuck inside after a blizzard hit here yesterday bringing us 8 more inches of snow and temperatures in the deep freeze. We are so ready for spring around here...and glad the groundhog didn't see his shadow. We hope he is right...peeeaaase (as Beckham would say)!

You see...there is a little story behind these Thomas shoes.

When we went home to grandma/grandpa's gervais' house for Christmas, I was upstairs doing my hair in the bathroom and Beckham was quiet in my bedroom. Quiet is never a good thing. He then came into the bathroom minutes later talking all Thomas. I wasn't quite sure what he was indicating until later that afternoon when i went up to my bedroom and discovered that he had found a Thomas box with these boots in them. They were a 2nd pair (that were too big) that grandma b was going to send back. He had found one of his Christmas gifts. Lets just say grandma b was bummed...it was the one gift she couldn't wait to give him.

After receiving these cool Thomas boots, i thought for sure he would absolutely love them and wear them 24/7 taking them off only to sleep. Anything Thomas around here gets major attention. Well...much to my belief i was wrong. We tried several times in the weeks following Christmas to put them on his feet. He would throw a fit every time. I'm not sure if hes not use to the rubber, or if its that he doesn't like wearing Thomas on his feet??? Who knows?

Well Friday afternoon we finally convinced him to put on his Thomas boots so we could go outside and play. He wore them with a little fuss, but looked down several times at his feet to see that Thomas was still down there. We will now sit and wait until the temperature warms up to go play outside in our rain boots again. Hope you are all staying warm today!

All about Independence...

Who me? Yes you... you are all about running into the bathroom and standing up on your "potty" chair and brushing your teeth by yourself. Unfortunately your style of brushing teeth does not involve any cleaning. You like to just play in the running water with your toothbrush. You like to suck the water from your toothbrush and drink it.

I eventually have to take over and wrestle to get the teeth brushed for the day.

Thomas, Thomas, and more Thomas...

Being couped up inside on these blustery winter days one has to be creative to pass time.

We play with trains, we watch Thomas the Train, we read Thomas books, we talk about how Thomas...you get the point. Well this wintry day, we started off playing with play-doh and before we knew it we were on the floor building bridges for our mini trains to go under. We did this over and over and over again. The concentration it took and the faces he made were priceless. Sometimes the tongue helps guide Thomas through the bridge.

This morning we go back to the ENT Dr to make sure the ear tubes are doing their job. We are hoping for no fluid and a passing hearing test!

Christmas 2010...

We went to Santa's Castle in Storm Lake on Christmas Eve. There a no pictures with Beckham and Santa as you might notice. He went into the room to see Santa and was pretty much scared to death. Maybe next year?

The big hit was the train room. He was in heaven....

After spending the last 7 months at the doctors office with Beckham and trying every antibiotic out there we finally gave in. Today Beckham was a brave kid and underwent surgery for tubes. He did very well and like many said...it was probably harder on momma then him. It was hard giving him away. Hearing him cry all the way down the hall. We were placed in a waiting room and before we knew it they were finished. The procedure only takes 5 minutes, but makes for one screaming child. The doctor came and got us and told us everything went well. He said the ears were "icky and reinfected". A side note- he just finished antibiotics Friday...just 4 days ago. So this was a much needed procedure. While the Dr was talking to us we could hear all the kids in the recovery room crying. We then got to see our little crying guy. He was groggy and crying/thrashing around as I was trying to comfort him. It took what seemed like forever for him to settle down (probably only 5 minutes). As soon as he was able to drink juice we were free to go home. We are proud of our little guy and very glad its behind us for the holidays. If we would have waited until after the new year we would have had yet another ear infection to deal with.

brrrr, "its cold outside"...

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

This past weekend we got hit with the blizzard and finally got our first snowfall. We not only had our first snow, but it was brought with 0 degree temperatures along with 50mph winds. So needless to say we spent the weekend indoors. We wrapped presents, baked sour cream cookies, and made 2 different kinds of soups.

On Saturday this little guy was so quite upstairs in our bedroom. We were downstairs and I went to check on him convinced he was in to trouble. I found him in my ugg boots. His face was worth a million dollars...so proud of himself.

my little cookie monster...

This little guy had a great thanksgiving at grandma Fishers! He pretty much ate the turkey and turkey cookies...and that's it. Did i mention he ate 6 turkey cookies? Every year its tradition that grandma makes her ginger turkey cookies. She passes them around the room for 1st, 2nds, and 3rds. The best part of the cookies is that it takes probably 3 cookies to equal 1 because they are so thin. So that means i only allowed Beckham to have 2 cookies...no big deal right?

P.S. Grandma Millie also bakes reindeer ginger cookies for Christmas...

2nd birthday...

It's hard to believe 2 years has already flown by. The 2's bring tantrums along with such fun times at the same time. You are learning so many words and mimicking what we say and do all the time. You make me laugh a lot and I'm loving every minute of it. I think this helps balance out the temper tantrums that also are taking place when you don't get something you want. You are still in love with thomas trains...thanks grandma j for the trains.

You look so good in bows...

You also got 2 new pairs of shoes. You love trying to figure out how to tie and untie your shoes.

One of the only smiles we captured on camera. This has been hard as of lately...taking pictures of you looking at the camera AND smiling.

You are also into Nemo right now. Grandma b got you this book that you love. Its so cute to listen to you read Nemo.

It was a great party... and thanks to everyone for all of the great gifts!!

teeth brushing 101...

I'm not sure how one is suppose to get a toddler to brush his teeth? This is one of our challenges every morning. He usually lets me brush for about 1 second and then he's pulling the toothbrush out of my hands because he wants to do it. We are in this independence stage if you know what i mean. We try to make fun out of brushing teeth. We sit on the counter, get a couple cups of water to play in and get our Thomas toothbrush out.

When we are done...or when we think we have brushed at least half of his teeth because that's all that is allowed we then enjoy the Thomas song. Yes...his toothbrush plays the Thomas theme song.

Have a good week...we are missing daddy this week as he is out of the country on business.

He will be back home just in time to celebrate this little guys 2nd birthday party on Saturday.

We are going to do a Toy Story theme for the party. Check back next week for birthday pictures. We are just doing a small party this year as we don't have any room in our house. I think last year we packed 20 people in our house for his 1st birthday. We will be seeing a lot of family the following weekend for Thanksgiving. Hopefully next year we will have moved and can celebrate his birthday with all friends and family in our new house. Did we mention our house is for sale? We are VERY anxious to move!

Our favorite cheese ball feeling better...

We are on round 4 of ear infections in probably the last 6 months. We are hoping you grow out of them soon...very soon. They say that 2 is the magic age for ear infections to decline. Well...this little guy turns 2 in just 17 days so we are hoping this is true. We tried sending you to daycare on Tuesday after getting a phone call around noon that you weren't feeling well. Daddy went and picked you up and thought you were maybe playing hookie and just wanted to spend the day with dada. So we are on day 4 of antibiotics and feeling much better. This morning at breakfast you were back to your happy self. So glad to see your smile again...food and all.

a day out at center grove orchard.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so we decided to take in the apple orchard. They had hay rides, corn pool, corn maze, farm animals, pedal tractors, jumping pillow, apple sling shot, duck races, and 31 varieties of apples. My favorite was the "kakkas" (tractors). If only i could reach the pedals and ride around. I pretty much just sat there and admired the tractor.

Next up was the animals...

they had goats, pigs, horses, chickens, turkeys, and more.

I really liked watching this goat climb up his ladder.

Many kids were feeding the animals, but not me. I don't even like to come close.

I just stood back from a distance and soaked it all in.

We then went to the corn pool. I wasn't quite sure what to think when mom put me in.

I sank down to my knees in corn. I enjoyed the slide more then just playing in the corn.

my first iowa state game this season...

A fabulous day in October and i got to tailgate and run around at a game.

I had lots of fun running around and eating all the food.

P.S. what do you think of my shades?

We also played peek-a-boo...

I sat on the hillside and watched the game for an average of about 2 minutes.

Yep, that's it. I am way to busy for sitting right now.

Although it wasn't much of a game we still had a good time.

We had great food, lots of family/friends, and excellent weather!

a day out with thomas the train...

Grandma b came down to join us for our big day out to visit "elba" (otherwise known as Thomas). We can't quite say our T's yet so that's what we call him in this day. As we drove into the Thomas the Train area we could see thomas about a block away. We rolled down the window and you yelled..."elba, elba, elba". Oh we we were so excited for you to meet him and get your pictures taken with him...this day was going to be so much fun!!

We started the morning under the first tent we came across which was playing with trains. They had tons of train tables lined up with kids all around each and everyone. You love playing on the real deal thomas tables.

Next we visited the tent with all of the souvenirs...any kids dream come true. You were definitely in overload not knowing what train you wanted next. Grandma bought you this toothbrush that sings thomas over and over and over. And of course we had to buy you a new train to add to our 30+ collection at home.

We couldn't wait...next we had to go meet Thomas and get our picture taken with him. The closer and closer we got the more afraid you were. The lip started quivering and then the tears started to form. You were scared of "elba". I'm not sure but I think it was his size that you didn't like. Sooo....this is the best picture we got in front in thomas.

Grandma b couldn't even talk you into going up to see thomas.

Next was the train ride...wondering how this was going to go?

At first you were a little scared, but after distracting you with the thomas cards grandma bought you the ride went well.

You even giggled a time or two.

Enjoying our ride down the track and back.

Look who else was there...sir topham hatt. But guess what....you were scared of him too.

We finished the day with the petting zoo. All in all we had a great day out with thomas and friends.

Monday, when you woke up from your nap you were standing in your crib with all 4 of your lovies. You wanted to take your paci, monkey, dog, and blanket with you down to play. It was so cute i just had to share. You have grown pretty close to all of these items. And yes...he still is attached the the paci. We only use it at nap time and bedtime. I told myself when he turned 1 that i was going to take it away and here he is today just 2 months away from turning the big 2 and he still has it. So my new goal...a year later is to throw them all away after his 2nd birthday. Any recommendations out there for me? Wish me luck!

monkeying around... I love my new "key" (monkey) that mom bought for me. As you all know...i am not a very good shopper. I dislike the mall. Last time mom and I went shopping she told dad that she didn't care if she ever went to the mall with me again. Well, Friday evening we ran to the mall and mom promised me if i was a good boy she would buy me something fun. We went into gapkids, which is my least favorite store in the mall and came across this cute lil' monkey. I don't really have any stuffed animals so this is my first. sidewalk chalk...

Today was your first try with sidewalk chalk. You weren't sure about the feeling of chalk, but once i showed you how to use you it, you went right to it.

There was a lot of concentration...

and the "yeywow" (yellow) seemed to be your favorite color.

You also learned how easy it breaks..."uh oh" is right.

As you can see by the pictures, the coffee table has won once again. You hit it twice this week on the left side of your face. The dang coffee table has caused many bumps/bruises and a lot of tears.

state fair 2010 minus a camera...

A year ago...

you sat so well in your stroller showing that gummy smile of yours off to everyone.

You looked oh so cute in your pink piggy hat.

This year...

you were all about the tractors ("ka kas")...

You loved all of the animals (of course) and even got to pet a baby cow. You giggled and giggled.

I was definitely missing my camera at that moment. You weren't a fan of the popular corn dog, but loved the freshly squeezed lemonade. A good time was had by all at the Iowa State Fair!

threshing bee 2010...

Last weekend was the annual threshing bee at great grandma and grandpa Fisher's house.

Mom's early Alzheimer's (or let's just say part of being a mom) caused her to forget her camera in Minnesota so these pictures were taken from grandma b's camera. If you haven't already seen...i was the guest blogger on grandma's blog last week...I'm getting pretty good at this blogging thing.

My favorite part of the day was the animals...

i liked listening to the sheep "baa".

It was a pretty tight squeeze as you can see, but we had a blast.

a good time was had by all in St. Paul/Minneapolis...

We enjoyed a family trip last weekend with grandma/grandpa G, Matthew, and Megan. We went to 2 Twins games and saw 2 wins! When we weren't at the stadium we enjoyed the wonderful 8,000 square feet home that grandma b found.

I loved running around in this house...

and as you can see from these pictures... i loved playing in the enormous sink. I pretty much love anything that has to do with water right now. *****************

Joe Mauer is also my new idol. Here i am practicing his pose...catching. Maybe someday i can be a twins catcher???

I found more water to play in...the bird bath. I even took a sample of it myself.

Thanks to grandma and grandpa for the great weekend. Thanks to uncle Matthew and Megan for the Twins tickets as these were our gifts for Christmas. We couldn't have seen 2 better games!

what do you dip your chicken mcnuggets in?

Occasionally... after out running errands or after the splash park we will drive through mcdonald's and pick up a happy meal. You can't ask for an easier meal then that..right? This little kiddo enjoys dunking his nuggets in carmel...the carmel that is suppose to be used for the apples. I look forward to this smile afterwards... a smile with gooey, sticky carmel rolling down the chin!

So...

next time you have mcnuggets be sure and ask for carmel as your dipping sauce.

It fulfills the sweet and salty craving all in one ;)

a day at the living history farms with grandma b...

Grandma b came to visit last week while daddy was in Iceland. Thanks again grandma for helping us out and staying home with me while mom went to work. It was a gorgeous week of sunshine so we decided to head out to see the animals.

I now know my farm animals and the sounds they make so this made the day extra fun.

I got to see real "moo's" up close.

"titty's" were probably my favorite part of the day.

These "titty's" were just 6 weeks old. They were a lot smaller then our "titty".

I even got to pick them up and hold them. My "titty" at home doesn't let me pick her up so i thought this was quite awesome. Can't you tell by the titty's face that he or she is enjoying it too?

We also saw chickens, horses (which i was scared of), sheep, and smelly pigs.

I forgot to mention that we got to ride behind a "kaka" (tractor) on the way to the farm.

What a fun day on the farm...thanks for joining us grandma b!

The first 3 times we tried putting you in this swing you hated every minute of it. We now have a heck of a time getting you out of it when its time to go home. We are so glad though that we have something new to look forward to at the park. It's so much fun watching you smile and listening to you giggle each time you are pushed.

fun in the sun at the splash park...

We have been to the splash park twice and are loving every minute of it. We went with some friends on Wednesday and found out that its free from 10am-noon.

Free+summer fun= lots of kiddos.

There are a tons of different fountains to play in and we discovered a small fountain that comes up to my belly. Its perfect because the bigger kids don't care to play with it and i can have it all to myself.

We were looking forward to going back today, but i have been a little under the weather. Daddy stayed home with me yesterday. I have the respiratory bug, fever, and teething. I went to the doctor this morning and found out that i have double ear infection. So no pool for me today...just antibiotics and rest. Have a good weekend...

what we've been up to...

Last weekend we took at trip to West Liberty for a wedding. I would have to say that I looked mighty cute in my white oxford and cargo khaki pants. Mom did not take any pictures of us all dressed up to share with you...i guess she's been slacking. The picture below is of grandma and i walking around the farm. I really wish they still had their animals because that's my newest interest. I have an animal sticker book and i pretty much know all of my animals. We are working on their noises they make too.

Well look who found interest in my Thomas trains too? My furry sister...

We celebrated moms birthday on the 19th with this delicious cake. Dad picked out the same cake they had for their wedding...isn't he good?

a day at the park...

The sun finally decided to shine today so we took full advantage of it and went to the park.

You enjoyed climbing up to the slides... you love to play peek-a-boo whenever there is a chance...

you attempted to climb the logs that the big boys go up...

you made ugly faces through the boards...

and you enjoyed watching the other kids play too.

Today was the first time you were brave enough to go down the slide all by yourself. I was so happy as i now no longer have to go down with you each time.

what a happy Mother's day it was.

This little guy had one busy day planning a wonderful Mother's Day for me.

I work every Sunday evening so I thought the celebration would be quite short, but to my surprise i was wrong. We grilled out for lunch and shortly afterwards he went down for a nap. When I arrived to work I checked my phone and noticed I had a facebook message from Beckham. It read...

Hi Mommy- It's BeckhamI just wanted to tell you that you are the best momma a little boy like me could ever wish for. I know sometimes I can be a handful but it is only because I have a hard time telling you and daddy exactly what I want. Someday soon, I will be able to speak as well as I can type :)I decided during ...my nap that instead of spending money on a gift for you, I would rather donate it to the family from Ankeny that lost two of their babies in the horrible car accident from last week. I know how hard of a time their family must be having and I want to do what I can to help them out. I hope this is okay mommy.I cant wait to play with you this week!! I have so much fun when it is just you and I playing in the park. Have a good night at work. I love you momma!!

i heart the outdoors.

We are constantly looking at the 5-day weather forecast at our house. This little guy loves and begs to go outside. He loves to play with our neighbor Parker, who just turned 2 this week. He has way more toys then we do ;)

We are also currently in a "ball" phase. We have several sizes of balls that we play with and constantly say, "ball, ball, ball, ball"

The only thing we dislike about the outdoors is the sun that shines right in the eyes. Since you won't wear your cute aviator sunglasses that i got you it looks as though this will be the face of the summer. Happy Friday to all!

I left this sweet pea for the weekend...

so i could go with the girls to celebrate Sus' 30th birthday party bash!

She did not know we were coming along with several other family members.

What a surprise it was to her. There was lots of tears and hugs to begin the night.

So glad we could be a part of her 30th "golden" birthday!

Saturday was the Kentucky derby... We continued the birthday celebration at Arlington Heights to watch the horse races. We rocked our derby hats...

We had a great weekend with the McKinney family. There was 25-30 people who made the trip to celebrate the big day!

I came home to a hoarse kiddo who had coughed all weekend and lost his voice. I stepped out of the car and received the biggest running hug ever. What a great feeling that was...

He had a great weekend with dad and grandma/grandpa Wilson despite all the coughing.

When we left for Florida you had 3 thomas trains...

we came home to 15 more trains along with train tracks and Tidmouth Shed. By the looks...i think you were pretty spoiled while we were vacationing. You probably are hoping grandma b & j come more often to watch you. Grandma b&j are so good to us. We now gather around the coffee table and play with trains several waking hours of the day. ********************* We had a great getaway to Florida. We walked the broadway each morning right off the beach, relaxed in the sun, shopped, slept in, and ate out at some great restaurants. This was our view outside our condo.

We had a great time though it was good to get back to see Beckham. It looks as though he had a lot of fun while we were gone and chances are he didn't miss us a bit.

it all started here...

the obsession with actual Thomas trains'.

Every afternoon at 1 o'clock we cuddle on the couch and watch Thomas and Friends. It always seems to amaze me that you (a 16-month old) is able to sit and watch a 30 minute show. You point at the the trains and bounce up and down on my lap to the beat of the songs. I think you (like many other toddler boys) have really taken a liking to the show.

SO...

last week we went to the mall and went in to Barnes and Noble. I wanted to look at the kids books and this is what you found. You were in heaven. I am convinced you could have played with the train set for hours. I attempted to distract you 2 different times to leave the area and go find a few new books and both times you made your way right back to the train set. I then had to be "that mother". I had to pick you up and take the screaming kid out of the store.

After this I gave in and told the Easter bunny about your liking to trains.

The Easter bunny was very good to you! You finally had your own trains...all to yourself.

So life is good...we can now play all day with our trains.

You can even play with them on top of your head. Whatever makes you happy! Such concentration....

We now own 3 trains, Thomas magnetic book, Thomas ball, and a Thomas sticker book.

I am sure it's never ending...right Noah?

So again...

Life is Good!

She will undergo a colon resection tomorrow morning.

Mohawk and crumbs...

Since my hair is getting SO long, mom decided it was time to style with the mohawk. It worked out pretty well. She knows one way to make me smile is with snacks...hence the crumbs all over my face. Not much else to do on this grey, rainy day! Have a good weekend....becks.

i heart grape salad...

Daddy's gone again :( so tonight mom and I invited Lexi over for dinner. Mom made meatloaf, cheesy potatoes, and my favorite grape salad. Mom prepared my plate nicely with a serving of each. So duh...where would i start? Of course i would eat the grape salad first. Mom will never put dessert on my plate again with a meal. After the grape salad i didn't really feel like eating anything else. I could just eat grape salad for every meal ;) Thanks for joining us tonight Lexi!

beckham's favorite grape salad

4 lbs red and green grapes

1 (80z) package cream cheese

1 (8oz) container sour cream

1/2 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

brown sugar

Wash and dry grapes. In a large bowl mix cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla. Add grapes and mix until evenly incorporated. Then sprinkle brown sugar on top. Enjoy!

Thanks grandma b for the fun week...

Grandma b came and stayed with mom and i this week while daddy was in Europe.

I must say that i was mighty spoiled...

she cooked some really good meals

she bought me this really nice chair that is just my size

she taught me how to say "uh oh"

she took over a 100 pictures of me

she cuddled with me

she watched Tomas the Train with me

she played with Elmo

she gave me good treats

she gave me lots of hugs and kisses.

Mom decided she was going to ride "my bike". Don't you think she is a little big for "my bike"?

I decided to catch a ride on the back and cruise around the upstairs with mom. Grandma and mom were laughing so hard they about wet their pants.

missing daddy...

The night before daddy left for Europe he bought me this Elmo. I love cuddling with my Elmo and also enjoy sharing my Cheerios with him too. Grandma came to stay with us while daddy is gone. This means i don't have to go to daycare tomorrow. Grandma and I get to play all day while mom is at work. Thanks grandma for coming to stay with us!

I'm sure daddy is missing me as much as i miss him!

college girlfriends and kiddos...

It was our annual girlfriend weekend + kiddos.

Each year it seems as though we add one more addition to the group. It was a pleasure meeting Zachary this year.

He is one happy 6 month old!

15 months old...I can't believe it.

You are growing up so fast and learning new things each and everyday!

You are adapting to your new room at daycare...well sort of.

You still cry each and every time daddy drops you off, but Demi always writes on your report sheet that you were a happy boy and played well with your friends. She has also learned that food always makes you happy.

You are very curious and love playing with things other then your toys. This humidifier in your room always has your interest.

You are also a little book worm.

Now that you are getting "SO BIG" you think you can now start exploring up high.

You are very fascinated with this alarm clock/radio. We love turning the music on and watching you dance. You have such good rhythm.

and yes...

i still have an obsession with your 10 little toes.

I am sure some day i will stop taking pictures of these little piggies.

Ragbrai xxxviii...

just 171 days away.

We just found out this past weekend the ragbrai route. It starts in Sioux City and travels

to Storm Lake to stay overnight. I have decided i will be starting there where grandma

and grandpa live as you all know. I will be riding my new Schwinn bike!

it goes from Storm Lake to Algona (where my aunt and uncle live). I most likely

won't bike the whole route and might catch a ride (by car) with mom and grandma b.

I can't tell you how excited i am!

I practice in my room getting on and off several times a week.

I plan on ringing my bell with all the ragbrai riders. I'm thinking i will most likely be the youngest rider out there. Grandpa d and uncle Matthew did the entire ride across Iowa 2 years ago and i haven't heard the plans yet for this year. I am anxious for spring to get here so i can get outside and start training!

Aaaahhhhh....

I don't know about you, but i am ready for spring.

I'm just dreaming of green grass, warm weather, and

riding my new tricycle outside...

I am off to grandma and grandpa Wilson's house tomorrow.

Mom and dad are going to Chicago for the isu/duke basketball game.

Grandma and I get to hang out and play for a couple days.

I know mom will have a hard time leaving me.

This is the first time I will have ever been away from mom over night.

I am going to miss her too, but i know grandma and i will have a good time.

christmas vacation...

This was my 2nd christmas. I don't remember last year as i was only 1 month old.

I had so much fun spending time at each of my grandparents houses.

I also got to spend some time with my uncles who i don't get to see very often.

We first went to grandma and grandpa Gervais' house.

Here is me in my pajamas...

yes i am eating Cheetos for breakfast.

Well that's after i had a mandarin orange, Cheerios, and milk.

P.S. I love eating!

After breakfast they took me to get my very 1st haircut.

I don't have much hair as you all are well aware of, but i had the "Terry Bradshaw"

look going on.

I did very well for my first haircut with the help of mom... and of course Cheerios! I must say i look mighty handsome now! That afternoon i took a little piano lessons from grandma.

I really enjoyed this as you can see!

That night Santa came and brought many gifts. I stayed up late to

open all of my presents! I had one large...i mean huge gift under the tree.

It was so big daddy had to help me unwrap it.

It was a tricycle....

so i can ride with grandpa and daddy this spring!

It even has streamers on it...

and a bell to ring!

fun in the tub...

You just love your baths!

Tonight i carry you up to your room to change you into your pajamas. I take your clothes off and your diaper. You then instantly stand up before i can get a hold of you and you walk as fast as your little naked body can go right in to the bathroom. It was not bath night tonight. We try and do every other night in the winter with your fragile dry skin. It was so cute seeing your little naked body so excited about a bath that i caved and gave you a bath. I could not resist. I could not watch you get your hopes up and then not follow through. SO cute! You continue to teeth and the bath toys seem to comfort you as you can see in the pictures below. You chew on these poor little guys every bath night. At least they serve 2 purposes...

snow day.

This morning we woke up to a blizzard.

Mom took this picture from our dining room. Look at the snow drift.

I have never seen so much snow!

We played all morning in our pajamas while mom made banana bread. Yummy...this is one of my favorites.

Has mom mentioned that I am now walking? I took my first step the day after my

birthday party. I am getting pretty good at it and can now walk from the kitchen

into the living room. At times a walk as though I have had 1 too many, but what do

you expect? I'm just learning!

Well i hope you are all staying warm on the this cold snowy day!

My first birthday party was a blast!

We managed to fit 26 people in our small house...i could not believe all of the people that showed up for "the big party"!

Thanks to grandma b for making this birthday bib and hat for me! I wasn't sure about it at first and then i think i eventually forgot that it was even on my head! Everyone sang "happy birthday" while the 1 candle was lit.

I wouldn't cooperate for the picture and wear my hat so mom decided to wear it instead!

My friend Ryder came to celebrate! We had a great time playing together with my new blocks.

I even tried stealing his pacifier out of his mouth a time or two.

Opening all the gifts was a blast.

I got so many wonderful toys to keep me busy for quite a while.

Grandma julie found yet another wonderful hat for me!

I am so glad grandpa Lyle could make the trip. He had surgery on his leg 3 months ago and is still walking with a walker...just like me! Him and grandma millie bought me these sweet overalls! I am now ready for the next thrushing bee...

accessories...

Well now that the weather is getting colder I get to pull out another new

hat!

Grandma b bought this for me because it reminded her of a ski hat that uncle

Matthew wore years ago. You know...the cool hats the boys wear on the slopes?

I am now ready to hit the slopes with Matthew in Colorado ;)

Speaking of him...I am so happy that he is going to be able to come home for my

birthday party next weekend. Can you believe i will be turning 1 on Friday!

Now that I am a big boy...i finally get to face forward in the car. Kind of a big deal... Soooo....Saturday mom and grandma j went out and bought me this really nice comfortable seat! Its so much fun looking at mom/dad drive and see whats up front!

Saturday also included a trip to the ER for me. I woke up with a nose full so mom

wouldn't let me go tailgating with dad and grandpa. So instead i went shopping with

the

girls. I was kind of fussy i must admit so the shopping trip to des moines was quick.

Later that night i started wheezing which scared "nurse" mom.

The ER was not much fun...they did 2 nebulizers which i screamed the entire time

(7 minutes each to be exact). Terrible....

They then took me for a chest xray which showed possible pneumonia. After 2

hours in the ER they sent us home with an inhaler and antibiotic.

Today i am feeling much better!

Did i also mention that i am getting another toofer? Oh yes...good times here at the

Wilson house!

loving this 70 degree weather...

yesterday mom and i went for a walk...

you just never know how many nice days are left so we had to get out and enjoy.

of course mom wanted to take pictures...

soooo she sat me on the grass with these dry, poky, crunchy things I didn't like them at all and wanted nothing to do with them. I'm not fond of the grass so why would i enjoy these poky things?

I lasted about 5 minutes and then let her know how i really felt.

Someday mom...

someday i will like being outside in the grass and playing in the leaves.

maybe next fall when i can walk and then I don't have to sit and touch them?

What fun i had on this first halloween...

Pappa bear went out of town for the weekend so i was part of a "girls weekend".

I hung out with grandma b, auntie sandra, abby, and deb on Friday night.

Saturday was shopping day...that i could have done without.

Grandma bought me this beary cute costume as you can see. I am not sure you can tell in these pictures, but i am wearing black leggings. Momma bear bought these at baby gap...

in the girls sections. I must say my chunky legs look mighty good in tights ;)

I was invaded by the camera in this costume as you can see...

but had a beary fun first halloween.

Wait until pappa bear gets home to see that i was wearing girls leggings.

This little one turns a year old in just a few weeks (Nov 20)! It seems like yesterday we brought him home from the hospital in this little teddy bear outfit. This cute outfit still hangs in his closet. Every time i go through clothes and pack away those clothes that no longer fit- i just can't seem to bring myself to put this one away. I just love it!

2 weekends ago we (grandma b and I) took over 200 pictures of this little cutie for his birthday invitations. So the invitations are designed (thanks to grandma b) and mailed off. Be sure to check your mailbox this week!

What a fabulous and fun year it has been and we are looking forward to celebrating his 1st birthday party!
